WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Central Missouri Mules (13-15, 8-14) defeated the Northeastern State RiverHawks (11-17, 6-16) by a final score of 67-62 on Saturday afternoon inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg for Senior Day.
Before the contest, four members of the Mules basketball team were honored for their contributions to the program including players
Caleb Nero,
Jordan Hayes, and
Keith Kiner III along with Student Assistant
Tim Hooper.
The Mules began the contest on a 9-3 run and held an eight-point advantage at halftime led by
Keith Kiner III's 15 points, two rebounds, and two steals going 7-of-9 from the floor as Central Missouri ended the game outscoring the RiverHawks in second-chance opportunities (20-8) while out-rebounding them 35-28 for good measure.
Junior
Jalen Knott paced UCM offensively with 20 points adding six rebounds and two assists, while forward
Tim Jordan Jr. contributed 15 points, a team-high seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Freshman
Corey Skillman Jr. ended the game with 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists, plus guard
Jordan Hayes added a team-best seven rebounds, four points, and two steals.
