EDMOND, Okla. – The Central Missouri Jennies (3-4, 0-0) fell to the Oklahoma Baptist Bisons (6-6, 0-0) by a final score of 1-0 (9 inn.) in the final day of the Raising Cane's Softball Festival from Deer Creek High School in Edmond, Okla.  
 
In a tightly contested pitchers' duel that required three extra innings, the lone run of the game was scored by the Bisons in the top of the ninth as OBU collected their sixth win of the year led by graduate senior Kayleigh Jones' efforts in the circle.  
 
Central Missouri's defense turned three double plays on the afternoon while shortstop Jadyn Sheffield paced the offense. Freshman Brooke Weimer (2-1) suffered the loss allowing just one run on eight hits while striking out six batters in nine innings of work.
 
The Jens return to the diamond on Saturday, Feb. 24, as they take on the Minot State Beavers (5-3, 0-0) beginning at noon before taking on the Wayne State Wildcats (1-5, 0-0) at 2:00 p.m. from Lake Shawnee North Park in the opening day of the Washburn Invitational in Topeka, Kan.
