KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer had seven student-athletes earn All-MIAA Women's Soccer honors for their performances on the soccer pitch during the 2024 MIAA conference regular season, it was announced Friday, Nov. 8.
Laney Reishus,
Ashleigh Martin,
Izzy Joyce,
Andree Orcutt and
Caroline Cole all earned First Team All-MIAA accolades while
Mackenzie Smith was a second team honoree and
Kristen Wright garnered third team recognition.
In addition to being selected to the first team, Joyce was also voted the 2024 MIAA Freshman of the Year. She is the first Jenny to win the honor since 2022.
Joyce, a forward from Lenexa, Kan., netted a team-high seven goals, including a team-best three game-winning goals, to go along with two assists for 16 points in Central Missouri's 12 MIAA contests.
Reishus, a sophomore defender from Shawnee, Kan., played in 11 MIAA contests, logging 834 minutes and dishing out an assist for one point. She helped the UCM defense allow just nine goals in 12 conference matches.
A senior forward from St. Charles, Mo., Martin netted a team-best seven goals, including two game-winners, and dished out four assists for a team-high 18 points in 10 conference matches.
Orcutt, a redshirt senior midfielder from Overland Park, Kan., compiled four goals for eight points in 12 conference contests.
Cole, a redshirt senior midfielder from Columbia, Mo., tallied three goals and dished out four assists for 10 points in UCM's 12 MIAA matches.
Smith, a freshman defender from Kansas City, Mo., played in all 12 of UCM's MIAA matches, compiling a team-high 1,021 minutes on the pitch and scoring one goal for two points. She was part of a Central Missouri back line that only surrendered nine goals in 12 MIAA contests in 2024.
Wright, a sophomore goalkeeper from Lenexa, Kan., played and started in all 12 MIAA contests for UCM, posting a record of 9-2-1 with 52 saves and just eight goals allowed for a 0.74 goals-against average. In 969:40 minutes between the posts, Wright has three shutouts and a .860 save percentage.
The third-seeded Jennies are slated to host sixth-seeded Northwest Missouri State in a MIAA Women's Soccer Tournament quarterfinal match Sunday, Nov. 10, at 1 p.m. at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
