WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Central Missouri Jennies basketball coasted past the Henderson State Reddies, 76-49, in its 2024-25 home opener and game one of the Central Bank Cross Regional Tournament Friday, Nov. 8, inside a Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.
The Jennies (2-1) are scheduled to take on Concordia-St. Paul in game four of the Central Bank Cross Regional Tournament Saturday, Nov. 9, at 1:30 p.m. in Warrensburg.
Cierra Smith posted a career-high 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor and a 6-of-6 showing at the free-throw line while
Reese Schaaf tallied a season-best 15 points and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds for her first double-double of 2024-25.
Allie Clevenger also reached double-figure scoring the game, compiling 12 points, and
Lauren Frost added a team-best four assists.
The Jennies, who never trailed in the game, shot 43 percent from the field (27-of-63) and were 90 percent at the free-throw line (18-of-20). UCM outrebounded Henderson State (0-1), 46-33, and outscored the Reddies in the paint, 44-20, and off turnovers, 25-5.
Brynlee Huggins had 11 points, while Jadah Pickens added 10 points, pacing Henderson State.
