Central Missouri Mules basketball begins the 2024-25 season on Friday, Nov. 8, as they take on the Bemidji State Beavers at 11:00 a.m. in the opening game of the 2024 Central Region Challenge, before taking on the St. Cloud State Huskies on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 1:00 p.m. from historic Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City, Mo.
This is the 119th season of Central Missouri Basketball as the Mules are the third winningest program in Division II with 1,763 victories having won two NCAA Men's National Championships (1984 & 2014) and four National Championships (1937 & 1938 NAIB) overall.
Last season under first year head coach Adam Bohac, the Mules went 13-15 overall including 8-14 in MIAA play highlighted by a pair of All-Conference performers in forward Tim Jordan Jr. (Honorable Mention) and redshirt senior Jordan Hayes (All-Defensive Team).

MEET THE MULES

Adam Bohac enters his second season as head coach of the Mules after finishing last season with a 13-15 overall record including 8-14 in the MIAA highlighted by two All-Conference performers in Tim Jordan Jr. (Honorable Mention) and Jordan Hayes (All Defensive Team).
The Mules are coming into the 2024-25 campaign with seven of their 13 student-athletes having never stepped on the court for UCM.
Central Missouri returns six players from last year's team including guard Corey Skillman Jr. while returning forwards Tim Jordan Jr., Jack Chapman, Yafet Haile, Noah Martin, and Josh Nwankwo.
The Mules brought in Division I transfer KJ Lee (Western Illinois), plus, Division II additions in DeAirius Barker (Charleston), Eain Mowat (Southern Nazarene), and Elijah Farr (Lincoln).
Central Missouri added three freshmen in guards Kyran Tilley (Louisville, Ky.) and Jake Fritz (Overland Park, Kan.), plus, forward Kyree Polk (Denver, Colo.).

UCM BY THE NUMBERS

Through 26 games last season, the Mules averaged 62.6 points per game while shooting 40 percent from the field, including 31 percent from beyond the arc and 70 percent from the charity stripe.
Central Missouri averaged 33.5 rebounds, 10 assists, six steals, and three blocks per contest during the 2023-24 campaign.

SERIES HISTORY VS BEMIDJI STATE

Friday morning's contest will be the fourth meeting all-time between the Beavers and UCM dating back to the 1941-42 season with the Mules leading the series 3-0 following a 76-62 victory in November of 2017 from Just A Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells, Wisc.
Guard Spencer Reaves paced UCM offensively with a game-high 26 points and a team-best four rebounds while senior Clarence Smith ended the contest with 10 points and two steals.

SERIES HISTORY VS ST. CLOUD STATE

Ahead of Saturday's matchup, this will be the first meeting between the Huskies and Central Missouri.
