MOORHEAD, Minn. – Central Missouri Jennies basketball outscored Minnesota State Moorhead 22-8 in the fourth quarter to lead it to a 70-52 win over the Dragons Thursday, Nov. 14, inside Nemzek Fieldhouse.
The Jennies (3-2) are scheduled to travel to Sioux Falls, S.D., for a road contest at Augustana (S.D.) Saturday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m.
Reese Schaaf netted 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor, including a 1-of-2 showing from three-point range, and a 4-of-5 performance at the free-throw line, and pulled down 13 rebounds for her second double-double of the season, while
Lauren Frost had 17 points, six assists and four steals,
Allie Clevenger added 13 points,
Cierra Smith tallied 10 points, and
Taylor Weishaar snagged 11 rebounds, pacing Central Missouri in the victory.
UCM shot 54 percent from the field for the game, going 28-of-52, and were a sizzling 9-of-12 in the fourth quarter for 75 percent. Central Missouri went 50 percent from three-point range (6-of-12) and were 89 percent from the free-throw line (8-of-9).
The Jennies outrebounded the Dragons (0-3), 34-29, and outscored MSU Moorhead in the paint, 28-22.
Abby Berge had 11 points and Natalie Jens added 10 points to lead MSU Moorhead.
