- No. 5-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer (7-2-1, 4-0 MIAA) is scheduled to travel to Northwest Missouri State (4-2-4, 2-1-1 MIAA) and Missouri Western (9-0-1, 4-0 MIAA) for a pair of MIAA matches Friday, Oct. 11, and Sunday, Oct. 13. Central Missouri is slated to face the Bearcats in Maryville, Mo., at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon before taking on the Griffons at 1 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph, Mo.
- UCM went 2-0 last week, defeating Fort Hays State, 2-0, Oct. 4 in Hays, Kan., before rolling to a 7-1 victory over Nebraska Kearney Oct. 6 in Kearney, Neb.
- In the Jennies' 7-1 win at Nebraska Kearney, senior forward Ashleigh Martin netted the 21st hat-trick in Jennies soccer history, scoring three goals in the second, 13th and 89th minutes.

Martin Named MIAA Offensive Athlete of the Week
- University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer's Ashleigh Martin has been voted the MIAA Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 30 through Oct. 6, the conference office announced Tuesday, Oct. 8.
- Martin netted the 21st hat-trick in UCM program history, netting three goals in the Jennies' 7-1 win at Nebraska Kearney Sunday, Oct. 6. Martin scored her first goal of the match just two minutes in before adding goals in the 13th and 89th minutes to complete her first-career hat-trick.
- In UCM's 2-0 shutout victory at Fort Hays State Friday, Oct. 4, Martin assisted on Lexie Ruf's game-winning goal in the 12th-minute.
- For the week, she tallied three goals and one assist for seven points.

Series History
- Northwest Missouri State: UCM and Northwest Missouri will meet for the 46th time in the all-time series Friday in Maryville. The Jennies lead the series, 37-3-5. Last season, Central Missouri went 2-0 against the Bearcats, winning in Warrensburg, 2-0, and Maryville, 3-0.
- Missouri Western: The Jennies and Griffons will meet for the 34th time all-time Sunday in St. Joe. UCM leads the series, 31-1-1. Central Missouri wen 1-0-1 against Missouri Western in 2023, winning in St. Joseph, 1-0, prior to playing to a 1-1 draw in Warrensburg.
Last Time Out for the Jennies: No. 7 Jennies Stampede Past Nebraska Kearney Sunday, 7-1
- Ashleigh Martin netted a hat-trick as No. 7-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer rolled past the Nebraska Kearney Lopers, 7-1, Sunday afternoon, Oct. 6, at Ron & Carol Cope Stadium at Foster Field.
- Martin posted the 21st hat-trick in Jennies soccer history after scoring goals in the second, 13th and 89th minutes. The three goals raised her season total to a team-best six.
- Izzy Joyce added a pair of goals in the second and 69th minutes, upping her 2024 tally to four, while Ava Lunders (68th-minute) and Rylie Hughes (73rd-minute) each scored their first goal of the season, rounding out the UCM scoring.
- Lexie Ruf, Patsy O'Brien, Laney Reishus, Aspen Patterson and Caroline Cole all added assists in the victory.
- Central Missouri goalkeeper Kristen Wright (7-2-1) earned the win after allowing no goals while making six saves in just under 75 minutes between the posts.
- For the match, UCM outshot Nebraska Kearney (4-2-4, 0-2-2 MIAA), 14-11, including a 10-8 advantage in shots on goal, and bested the Lopers in corner kicks, 14-1.
Head Coach Lewis Theobald
Lewis Theobald, now in his 17th year, has transformed the Jennies Soccer program into one of the premier programs not only in the MIAA, but in all of NCAA Division II.
The 11-time MIAA and five-time region Coach of the Year, has an impressive 298-48-26 record. He recorded more wins in his first three seasons than any other coach in school history and is the all-time winningest coach in both Jennies soccer and MIAA women's soccer history. He brought home the program's first ever National Championship in the 2017 season.
Theobald enters the 2024 season as the winningest active coach in Division II women's soccer with an .838 winning percentage, among coaches with at least five years on the sidelines. He also is the all-time D-II leader among coaches with at least 10 years and is fifth all-time in all NCAA Divisions.
During his tenure, Theobald has coached 21 All-Americans in
Andree Orcutt, Lindsay Edmonds, Julia Kristensen, Kassie Newsom,
Caroline Cole, Ana Dilkes, Emily Eldridge, Baylie Edwards, Randi Fernsler, Allysa Gann, Kayla Hamner, Julie Ireland, Becky Lackey, Cindy Lackey, Abby Rhodes, Alyssa Rhodes, Jada Scott, Carly Stanley, Jenna Stones, Makayla Toth and Megan Woolley and has led 55 players to All-Region status. He also coached Dilkes, a goalkeeper, to a National Player of the Year honor during the 2017 season.
He has coached 135 All-Conference players, including Most Valuable Players Melanie Hall, Kayla Shain and two-time Player of the Year Alyssa Rhodes; Offensive Players of the Years Carly Stanley, Julie Ireland, Jada Scott, Kassie Newsom and Julia Kristensen; Freshmen of the Year Alyssa Rhodes, Stanley, Hannah Pyle, Alexis Robbers, Nicki Wisnasky,
Caroline Cole and Julia Kristensen; Defenders of the Year, Emily Eldridge, Allysa Gann, Cindy Lackey and Abby Rhodes; two-time Goalkeeper of the Year Lindsey Johnson and four-time Goalkeeper of the Year Ana Dilkes.
A 1999 graduate of the University of Kansas, Theobald received his bachelor's degree in education with a concentration in physical education.
