- Central Missouri Jennies soccer (9-3-2, 6-1-1 MIAA) is slated to conclude its 2024 regular season home schedule with a pair of key MIAA matches Friday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Oct. 27, at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg. The Jennies are scheduled to host the No. 15-ranked Washburn Ichabods (9-2-2, 6-0-1 MIAA) Friday at 6 p.m. before facing the Emporia State Hornets (5-5-2, 3-3-2 MIAA) Sunday at 1 p.m. for Senior Day and the regular season home finale.
- UCM will honor its seniors in a pregame ceremony Sunday at approximately 12:40 p.m.
- The Jennies went 2-0 last week in a pair of home matches, shutting out Central Oklahoma Friday, Oct. 18, 3-0, before rolling to a 7-0, shutout win over Newman Sunday, Oct. 20.

Series History
- Washburn: UCM and Washburn will meet for the 34th time in the all-time series Friday evening in Warrensburg. UCM leads the series, 25-7-1, but dropped two meetings to the Ichabods last season. The Jennies fell to the Ichabods during the regular season in Topeka, Kan., 1-0, before dropping a heartbreaking 3-2, double overtime decision to Washburn in the NCAA-II Central Regional Second Round in Topeka.
- Emporia State: The Jennies and Hornets of Emporia State will meet for the 39th time in the all-time series Sunday afternoon at the South Recreation Complex. UCM leads the series, 27-9-2. Last season, Central Missouri went 1-1 against ESU, defeating the Hornets during the regular season in Emporia, Kan., 1-0, before losing to Emporia State in the MIAA tournament title match in Wichita, Kan., 3-2.
Last Time Out for the Jennies: No. 25 Jennies Roll Past Newman Sunday, 7-0, to Give Theobald 300th Career Win
- University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer head coach Lewis Theobald earned his 300th career victory as the No. 25-ranked Jennies rolled past the Newman Jets, 7-0, Sunday afternoon, Oct. 20, at the South Recreation Complex.
- Theobald, who is in his 17th season as the head coach for Central Missouri, upped his program-best career record to 300-49-27, with Sunday's shutout victory over the Jets.
- Molly Ricker opened the Jennies' scoring just two minutes into the match, netting her first goal of the season, before Izzy Joyce scored back-to-back goals in the ninth and 11th minutes, increasing the UCM lead to 3-0. The goals moved Joyce's season total to six. Lexie Ruf compiled the assist on Joyce's first goal.
- Anna Lack tallied her first goal of the season in the 16th-minute, scoring off an assist from Joyce, upping the Central Missouri advantage to 4-0, prior to Mikayla Ernst scoring for the third time in 2024 with a goal off an assist from Ryann Clark in the 24th-minute. Patsy O'Brien put an exclamation point on the Jennies' first half, scoring her first goal of the season in the 26th-minute for the 6-0 halftime lead.
- Ava Lunders scored Central Missouri's seventh and final goal of the contest – her second of the season – in the 50th-minute off assists from Gracie Knight and Aspen Patterson.
- For the match, UCM outshot Newman (0-13-1, 0-8 MIAA), 32-2, including a 19-1 advantage in shots on goal, and bested the Jets in corner kicks, 13-1.
- Central Missouri goalkeeper Kristen Wright (9-3-2) picked up her fifth shutout of the season in goal, giving up no goals in 26 minutes between the posts.
Head Coach Lewis Theobald
Lewis Theobald, now in his 17th year, has transformed the Jennies Soccer program into one of the premier programs not only in the MIAA, but in all of NCAA Division II.
The 11-time MIAA and five-time region Coach of the Year, has an impressive 300-49-27 record. He recorded more wins in his first three seasons than any other coach in school history and is the all-time winningest coach in both Jennies soccer and MIAA women's soccer history. He brought home the program's first ever National Championship in the 2017 season.
Theobald enters the 2024 season as the winningest active coach in Division II women's soccer with an .838 winning percentage, among coaches with at least five years on the sidelines. He also is the all-time D-II leader among coaches with at least 10 years and is fifth all-time in all NCAA Divisions.
During his tenure, Theobald has coached 21 All-Americans in
Andree Orcutt, Lindsay Edmonds, Julia Kristensen, Kassie Newsom,
Caroline Cole, Ana Dilkes, Emily Eldridge, Baylie Edwards, Randi Fernsler, Allysa Gann, Kayla Hamner, Julie Ireland, Becky Lackey, Cindy Lackey, Abby Rhodes, Alyssa Rhodes, Jada Scott, Carly Stanley, Jenna Stones, Makayla Toth and Megan Woolley and has led 55 players to All-Region status. He also coached Dilkes, a goalkeeper, to a National Player of the Year honor during the 2017 season.
He has coached 135 All-Conference players, including Most Valuable Players Melanie Hall, Kayla Shain and two-time Player of the Year Alyssa Rhodes; Offensive Players of the Years Carly Stanley, Julie Ireland, Jada Scott, Kassie Newsom and Julia Kristensen; Freshmen of the Year Alyssa Rhodes, Stanley, Hannah Pyle, Alexis Robbers, Nicki Wisnasky,
Caroline Cole and Julia Kristensen; Defenders of the Year, Emily Eldridge, Allysa Gann, Cindy Lackey and Abby Rhodes; two-time Goalkeeper of the Year Lindsey Johnson and four-time Goalkeeper of the Year Ana Dilkes.
A 1999 graduate of the University of Kansas, Theobald received his bachelor's degree in education with a concentration in physical education.
