TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – No. 17-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball rolled to a 65-51 victory over the Northeastern State RiverHawks Thursday evening, Jan. 18, inside the NSU Event Center in a MIAA game.
The Jennies (13-3, 7-3 MIAA) are scheduled to travel to Claremore, Okla., for a 1:30 p.m. conference contest at Rogers State Saturday, Jan. 20.
Brooke Littrell netted 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field and a 2-of-3 performance at the free-throw line and added eight rebounds, leading Central Missouri offensively, while
Allie Clevenger also reached double figure scoring with 10 points.
Graycen Holden pulled down a team-best 10 rebounds, and
Olivia Nelson dished out a team-high seven assists.
UCM shot 46 percent from the floor (25-of-54), 33 percent from three-point range (8-of-24) and 70 percent at the free-throw line (7-of-10) in the victory and outrebounded the RiverHawks, 38-31. The Jennies outscored NSU off turnovers, 19-18, and in bench points, 17-5.
Courtney Lee tallied 17 points and Tor'e Alford added 16 points, pacing Northeastern State (8-8, 4-6 MIAA).
