CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Central Missouri Mules (11-16, 7-14) fell to the Rogers State Hillcats (15-12, 11-10) by a final score of 65-59 on Thursday, Feb. 23, inside the Claremore Expo Center in Claremore, Okla.
The Hillcats took a 10-point lead into halftime limiting the Mules to 28 percent shooting from the field. In the second half, Central Missouri would cut the deficit to three points on three separate occasions, but RSU never relinquished the lead.
Redshirt senior
Gaven Pinkley led the Mules with a game-high 20 points and three rebounds while guard
Trey Sides added 19 points and six rebounds. Redshirt junior
Garrett Luinstra had nine points, a career and game-high seven assists and six rebounds respectively, plus, redshirt sophomore
Mikel Henderson contributed eight points and two assists.
Forward
Ben Fritz ended the contest with five rebounds and two points while redshirt sophomore
Jordan Hayes added a season-high nine rebounds and a season-high six assists.
The Mules return to the court on Saturday, Feb. 25 as they take on the Northeastern State RiverHawks from the NSU Event Center in Tahlequah, Okla. with tip-off scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
