WICHITA, Kan. – The Central Missouri Mules (4-2, 0-2) fell to the Newman Jets (4-3, 1-1) by a final score of 59-58 on Saturday, Dec. 2, inside Fugate Gymnasium in Wichita.
The Jets began the contest on a 9-2 run, but UCM responded with a run of their own taking the lead with seven minutes remaining in the half with a three-pointer from
Jalen Knott (11 points, four rebounds, and two assists overall) as the halftime score was tied at 25.
With the Mules holding onto a two-point lead with four seconds remaining in the second half, Kaeson Fisher-Brown connected from three at the buzzer as the Jets win their fourth game of the season.

Tim Jordan Jr. led Central Missouri with a career-high 17 points and a game-high nine rebounds, while the Mules outscored Newman 27-17 in bench points highlighted by guard
KJ Vasser's 12 points as forward
Keith Kiner III added nine points and junior
Ben Fritz had four points and two rebounds.

Jack Chapman contributed five rebounds, three points, and two assists as UCM outscored the Jets 18-2 in second chance points, 11-4 off turnovers, and 30-24 in the paint on the afternoon. Guard Stevie Smith paced Newman with 15 points, six rebounds, and five assists respectively.
UCM returns to the court on Saturday, Dec. 9, as they continue MIAA play against the Lincoln Blue Tigers with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m. from Jason Gymnasium in Jefferson City, Mo.
