TOPEKA, Kan. – The No. 15-ranked and fifth-seeded Central Missouri Jennies soccer team saw its 2023 season come to a close after falling to No. 7-ranked and top-seeded Washburn, 3-2 in double overtime, in the second round of the NCAA-II Central Regional Sunday, Nov. 19, at Yager Stadium at Moore Bowl.
UCM ends its 2023 campaign with an overall record of 16-5-2 while Washburn improves to 18-3-1 and advances to the NCAA-II Central Regional Championship match.

Andree Orcutt doubled UCM's lead to 2-0 with her third goal of 2023 in the 36th-minute.
Washburn trimmed the lead to 2-1 with a goal from Khloe Schuckman in the 62nd-minute before Aubrey Tanksley scored off a corner kick with just two seconds remaining in the second half, tying the contest 2-2.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first, 10-minute overtime period, sending the contest to a second extra time period.
Schuckman netted what proved to be the 3-2 game-winner for the Ichabods in the 109th-minute.
For the match, Washburn outshot UCM, 14-10. Central Missouri bested the Ichabods in corner kicks, 7-3, and shots on goal, 9-8.

Maddie Meehan (1-1-0) suffered the setback between the posts after giving up three goals while making five saves in 110 minutes.
Washburn goalkeeper Raegan Wells (18-3-1) earned the win in goal after allowing two goals and making six saves in 110 minutes.
