CLAREMORE, Okla. – No. 10-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball outscored MSU Moorhead in overtime, 10-4, enroute to a 63-57 win over the Dragons in the MIAA/NSIC Regional Challenge Saturday, Nov. 11, inside the Claremore Expo Center.
The Jennies (2-0) are scheduled to host Augustana (S.D.) for their 2023-24 home opener Thursday morning, Nov. 16, at 11:30 a.m. inside the UCM Multipurpose Building.
Brooke Littrell netted a game-high 22 points on 10-of-20 shooting from the floor and a 2-of-3 showing at the free-throw line and snagged 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season, pacing the Jennies.
Ashley Tull also reached double figures in the win with 14 points and added eight rebounds, while
Olivia Nelson dished out a team-best six assists.
For the game, Central Missouri shot 36 percent from the floor, going 25-of-69, and were 9-of-15 at the free-throw line for 60 percent. The Jennies were outrebounded by the Dragons (0-2), 40-34, but outscored MSU Moorhead in the paint, 36-26.
Natalie Jens netted 19 points and Ashley Fritz had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, leading the Dragons in the contest.
