No. 15 Jennies Soccer Plays to 1-1 Draw vs. Missouri Western Friday

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – No. 15-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer and the Missouri Western Griffons played to a 1-1 draw Friday evening, Oct. 27, at the South Recreation Complex.

The Jennies (12-3-2, 7-1-2 MIAA) are scheduled to wrap up the regular season with a home match vs. Missouri Southern (0-14-3, 0-8-2 MIAA) Sunday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m. in Warrensburg.

Ashleigh Martin put UCM in front, 1-0, with her fourth goal of the season just six minutes into the second half in the 51st-minute.

The Jennies remained in front until the 86th-minute when Missouri Western goalkeeper Keeley Kroonenberg put a free-kick from midfield into the back of the net for the game-tying goal.

For the match, the Jennies outshot the Griffons, 19-8, including an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal.

Central Missouri goalkeeper Kristen Wright (11-2-2) picked up the tie in goal after allowing one goal while making four saves in 90 minutes.

Kroonenberg (4-6-6) earned the tie between the posts for Missouri Western, surrendering one goal while making seven saves in 90 minutes.
