WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Caroline Cole netted a hat trick leading No. 17-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer to a 5-0, shutout win over the Nebraska Kearney Lopers Friday night, Oct. 20, at the South Recreation Complex.
The Jennies (11-3-1, 6-1-1 MIAA) are scheduled to host Fort Hays State Sunday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. in Warrensburg.
Cole, a redshirt junior from Columbia, Mo., scored goals in the sixth, 19th and 56th minutes to complete her hat trick – the first for UCM since last season.
Ryann Clark (60th-minute) and
Isa Yanes (73rd-minute) also tallied goals in the victory.
Ashleigh Martin dished out two assists while
Jordan Austin posted one assist, rounding out the Central Missouri offensive leaders.
With her trio of goals, Cole ups her season tally to a team-high tying five while Clark's goal was her third of 2023 and Yanes's score marked her first of the season.
For the match, the Jennies outshot the Lopers (2-11-2, 1-5-2 MIAA), 27-1, including a 15-1 advantage in shots on goal. UCM also blanked Nebraska Kearney in corner kicks, 18-0.

Kristen Wright (10-2-1) earned the win between the posts after allowing no goals in just over 66 minutes of action.
