• Central Missouri Mules basketball continues conference play on the road against Washburn on Thursday (Jan. 5, at 7:30 p.m.) inside Lee Arena in Topeka, Kan., and Emporia State on Saturday (Jan. 7, at 3:30 p.m.) from White Auditorium in Emporia, Kan.

• Both games will be broadcast live on 1450 KOKO, 98.5 The Bar, the new 107.9 FM and warrensburgradio.com with Greg Hassler and Kim Anderson calling the action.

LAST TIME OUT

• The Mules defeated the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers by a final score of 62-48 on Monday, Jan. 2, inside the Multipurpose Building.  
• UCM had two starters finish the contest scoring 10 points including guard Mikel Henderson and Gaven Pinkley (added four rebounds and two blocks).
• Forward Ben Fritz collected a game-high eight rebounds, five points, and two assists in the victory.

 
 
MULES BY THE NUMBERS 

• The Mules come into Thursday's game averaging 71 points per game while shooting 43 percent from the field, including 33.2 percent from beyond the arc.   
• UCM has two players averaging in double figures this season including guard Mikel Henderson (14.2 points per game) and redshirt senior Gaven Pinkley (12.8 points per game).

SERIES HISTORY VS WASHBURN

• The Mules and Ichabods are even in the all-time series at 52 wins each, with the Ichabods having a 33-20 advantage at home.
• Washburn has won the last five meetings including last season's 85-74 victory inside Lee Arena (2/12/2022).
• Ja'Cor Nelson led the Mules with his fifth double-double of the season (team-high 19 points and 11 rebounds) while Gaven Pinkley had 18 points.  
• The Ichabods were led by Tyler Geiman's game-high 22 points.

 
 
SERIES HISTORY VS EMPORIA STATE

• UCM leads the all-time series 73-43 dating back to 1906-07, with the Hornets having a 28-22 advantage at home.
• The Hornets come into Saturday's contest winning the last two meetings including a 73-64 win in Empoira, Kan. back on Dec. 19, 2020, which ended the Mules six game winning streak.
• Gaven Pinkley and Jalen Blaize (three steals overall) led the Mules with 17 points each.  
• Emporia State had four players finish in double figures including Dallas Bailey (16 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three rebounds), Austin Downing (16 points and a game-high five assists), Jumah'ri Turner (14 points), Gage McGuire (13 points).
