KEARNEY, Neb. -- Central Missouri Mules wrestling dropped three duals but had two wrestlers go undefeated in the UNK Midwest Duals Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds in Kearney, Neb. The Mules fell to No. 8 Adams State, 34-10, Colorado School of Mines, 24-14, and No. 20 Northern State, 26-15.
In Central Missouri's loss to Adams State,
Tommy Frezza,
Austin Morgan, and Mattias Ervin all tallied wins. Frezza defeated Isaiah DeLaCerda by major decision, 12-0, at 133 pounds. Morgan earned a 7-6 decision over Ryan Rochford at 174 pounds. Ervin finished the dual for the Mules at 285 pounds with a 2-0 decision over Adam Alvarenga.

JD Culp, Morgan, and
Zachary Hazen all earned wins in the Mules' setback to Colorado Mines. Frezza earned a 2-1 decision over Weston Diblasi at 133 pounds. Culp won by decision, 3-2, over Daniel Caddy at 157 pounds. Morgan defeated Levi Harris at 174 pounds by a 5-4 decision. Hazen pinned Garrett Bakarich at 3:50 to win at 184 pounds.
In Central Missouri's final dual of the day against Northern State, five Mules tallied wins. Frezza defeated Teagan Block by decision, 5-3, at 133 pounds.
Nolan Saale won in in overtime via sudden victory, 3-1, against Izaak Hunsley at 157 pounds. Morgan earned a 9-8 decision over Kelby Hawkins at 174 pounds.
Trent Strong won by decision, 8-6, over Marshall Vantassel at 197 pounds. Ervin, again, finished the dual for the Mules, defeating Nathan Schauer by a 8-1 decision at 285 pounds.
The Mules are scheduled to host No. 1-ranked Central Oklahoma on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. inside the Multipurpose Building.
