MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Central Missouri Mules (8-10, 4-8) fell 73-52 to No. 9 Northwest Missouri Bearcats (16-2, 9-2) on Thursday, Jan. 19, inside Bearcat Arena in Maryville.
UCM led at the break 28-21, limiting the Bearcats to 25.9 percent from the field but Northwest Missouri responded in the second half en route to victory. Wes Dreamer led the Bearcats with 21 points adding four rebounds and three assists while Diego Bernard contributed 20 points and seven rebounds.
The Mules had two players finish in double figures including guard
Mikel Henderson (14 points) and forward
Jack Chapman (10 points, five rebounds, and two steals) respectively.
Central Missouri had two players finish with nine points on the night including redshirt junior
Garrett Luinstra (three assists) and guard
Kobe Campbell (two rebounds and two assists) while redshirt senior
Gaven Pinkley ended the contest with eight points and a game-high seven rebounds.
The Mules return to the court on Saturday, Jan. 21, as they travel to St. Joseph, Mo; to take on the Missouri Western Griffons at 3:30 p.m. inside the MWSU Fieldhouse.
