- UCM defeated the Roger State Hillcats 78-77 in overtime on Saturday, Jan. 14, inside the Multipurpose Building. Â Â
- The Mules had three players finish in double figures including redshirt sophomore Trey Sides (career-high 20 points, three rebounds, and three steals), forward Ben Fritz (15 points, two rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a career-high two blocks), and redshirt sophomore Kobe Campbell (14 points and four rebounds).
- Redshirt sophomore Mikel Henderson (three assists) and sophomore Jack Chapman (six rebounds and a season-high five assists) each contributed nine points respectively.

- Guard Trey Sides led the Mules with a then career-high 18 points, while Ja'Cor Nelson added eight points.
- The Bearcats were led by Wes Dreamer's game-high 23 points; plus, Trevor Hudgins added 19 points and four assists.

- Heading into Saturday's contest the Mules hold a 43-32 advantage all-time against the Griffons.
- The Mules are 12-5 against Missouri Western under head coach Doug Karleskint overall but have lost the previous three meetings in St. Joseph including a 79-65 loss (12/11/2021) last season.
