  • University of Central Missouri Jennies basketball tips off its 2022-23 season with a pair of games in the MIAA/NSIC Regional Challenge Friday, Nov. 11, and Saturday, Nov. 12, in Moorhead, Minn., inside Nemzek Fieldhouse. The Jennies will face Northern State Friday at 8 p.m. before taking on host MSU Moorhead Saturday at 3 p.m.

  • UCM is coming off a 2021-22 campaign that saw it post a 19-11 overall record and finish fourth in the MIAA with a conference tally of 15-7.
  • The Jennies welcome back four starters and five letterwinners for 2022-23, including 2021-22 All-American Brooke Littrell (G/F), 2021-22 Honorable Mention All-MIAA honoree Olivia Nelson (G) and 2020-21 All-MIAA Second Team honoree Graycen Holden (F).

  • Brooke Litterell enters the 2022-23 season just 84 points shy of 1,000. She is looking to become the 30th member of the Jennies basketball 1,000-point club.
Jennies in the Rankings
  • Central Missouri was picked third in the 2022-23 MIAA Preseason Media Poll and fifth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll. UCM received three first-place votes and 218 points in the media poll and 127 points in the coaches' poll.
Returning Scoring
  • The Jennies return 74 percent of their scoring from last season's team. This includes 2020-21 stats from forward Graycen Holden, who sat out last season due to injury.
Head Coach Dave Slifer
  • Dave Slifer enters his 19th season at the helm of the Jennies in the 2022-23 season. He has led the Jennies to 11 NCAA postseason berths and a National Championship in 2017-18 with the Jennies best record in team history. Among active head coaches, Slifer enters the season as the second winningest active head coach in Division II and 13th across all three divisions, with his 759 career victories. His .741 winning percentage is 14th among active NCAA Coaches and third in Division II.
