KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Central Missouri wrestling's
Conner Johnston was named MIAA Wrestler of the Week after his performance Saturday, Nov. 19, at the UNK Younes Hospitality Open in Kearney, Neb., the conference announced Tuesday, Nov. 22.
Johnston, a sophomore from Knob Noster, Mo., won the 157-pound amateur division after six matches. Johnston won in dominating fashion. His first and final matches were won via tech fall, 17-0 and 15-0 respectively, and the other four came by fall, three of which were in the first period. Johnston also received the Outstanding Wrestler award for the tournament for his performance.
The Mules return to action Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Drury Open in Springfield, Mo.
