• Fresh off two season-opening wins against Northern State and MSU Moorhead in Moorhead, Minn., Nov. 11-12, Central Missouri Jennies basketball (2-0) is scheduled to host NAIA opponent Evangel (0-4) in its 2022-23 home opener Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m. at the UCM Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg.
• Through two games, the Jennies are paced by redshirt sophomores Brooke Littrell (20.5 ppg., 4.5 rpg., .536 FG%), Lauren Frost (13.5 ppg., 7.5 rpg., .458 FG%, 7 A) and Olivia Nelson (13.5 ppg., 4.0 rpg., .458 FG%, 6 A, 5 Stl).
• As a team, UCM is averaging 72 points and 42.5 rebounds per game and shooting 45 percent from the field while holding its opponents to 57.5 points and 39.5 rebounds per game and a 34 percent field-goal percentage.

• UCM is coming off a 2021-22 campaign that saw it post a 19-11 overall record and finish fourth in the MIAA with a conference tally of 15-7.
• The Jennies welcome back four starters and five letterwinners for 2022-23, including 2021-22 All-American Brooke Litterell (G/F), 2021-22 Honorable Mention All-MIAA honoree Olivia Nelson (G) and 2020-21 All-MIAA Second Team honoree Graycen Holden (F).

• Brooke Littrell led four players in double figures as the Central Missouri Jennies basketball team defeated the MSU Moorhead Dragons, 69-58, in the NSIC/MIAA Regional Challenge Saturday, Nov. 12, at Nemzek Fieldhouse.
• Littrell shot 50 percent from the floor, going 7-of-14, and was 7-of-9 at the free-throw line for her game-high 21 points.
• Olivia Nelson added 14 points while Lauren Frost had 12 and Graycen Holden had 10, rounding out the Jennies in double figures.
• Kade Hackerott paced UCM on the glass, snagging a game-best 10 rebounds.
• Central Missouri shot 44 percent from the floor, going 27-of-61, and were 10-of-13 from the free-throw line for 77 percent. The Jennies outrebounded the Dragons (1-1), 40-33, and outscored MSUM in the paint, 40-22, and off turnovers, 14-6.

• A typical Tuesday evening non-conference game turned out to be anything but. Megan Skaggs emphatically stamped her name into the UCM and MIAA records scoring 50 points to lead the Jennies to an 85-64 win over Evangel Dec. 17, 2019.
• Megan Skaggs' 50 points back in 2019 is still the only 50-point game in MIAA history. The previous record had been 46 points done three times, most recently in 1999.

• Brooke Littrell enters Wednesday's game just 43 points shy of 1,000 at 957. She is looking to become the 30th member of the Jennies basketball 1,000-point club.

• Central Missouri was picked third in the 2022-23 MIAA Preseason Media Poll and fifth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll. UCM received three first-place votes and 218 points in the media poll and 127 points in the coaches' poll.

• The Jennies return 74 percent of their scoring from last season's team. This includes 2020-21 stats from forward Graycen Holden, who sat out last season due to injury.

• Central Missouri has six newcomers on its 2022-23 roster, including two high school freshmen (Cierra Smith, G; Lauren Blake, G), two junior college transfers (Alyssa Morris, F; Ashley Tull, F), one Division II transfer (Robin Campbell, G) and one Division I transfer (Lauren Frost, G).

• The Jennies are idle for two weeks before opening MIAA action at home vs. Central Oklahoma Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m.
