WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Fourth-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer saw its 2022 season end Sunday, Nov. 13, after falling to the Emporia State Hornets, 1-0, in the second round of the NCAA-II Central Regional at the South Recreation Complex.
The Jennies finish their season with an overall record of 19-2-2. UCM won its 13th MIAA Regular Season Championship and sixth MIAA Women's Soccer Tournament Title to up its all-time MIAA title total to 19.
Hannah Woolery scored what proved to be the game-winning goal for the Hornets off an assist from Angela Palmer in the 72nd minute.
For the match, Central Missouri outshot Emporia State (13-6-4), 15-9, including a 6-5 advantage in shots on goal. UCM also took seven corner kicks while limiting the Hornets to just one.
Caroline Cole tallied four shots and two shots on goal, leading Central Missouri offensively.
Sydney Beck (19-2-2) suffered the loss in-goal for the Jennies after making four saves and allowing one goal in 90 minutes.
Emporia State goalkeeper Mackenzi Goen earned the victory between the posts, giving up no goals while making six saves in 90 minutes.
