WARRENSBURG, Mo – Central Missouri Mules Basketball (0-1, 0-0) fell to the Upper Iowa Peacocks (1-1, 0-0) by a final score of 75-70 to begin the 2022-23 season inside the Multipurpose Building.
UCM had three players reach double figures including newcomers
Kobe Campbell and
Mikel Henderson. Campbell, a redshirt sophomore from Kansas City, Mo., led the Mules with 17 points while shooting 66-percent from the field. Making three of eight attempts from beyond the arc, Henderson ended the contest with 15 points, three assists, and two rebounds respectively.

Gaven Pinkley paced the Mules on the glass with seven rebounds while adding 11 points and two assists. Sophomore forward
Ben Fritz also contributed a team-high seven rebounds, five points, and two assists on the night.
Upper Iowa was led by Nick Reid's double-double performance with 15 points and 11 rebounds while Lucas Duax had a game-high 24 points.
The Mules return to the court Sunday, Nov. 13, at 5:00 p.m. as they host the East Central Tigers to conclude the Weekend Classic.
