Lindsay Edmonds and
Julia Kristensen were voted MIAA Athletes of the Week for their performances on the soccer pitch during the final week of the regular season Oct. 17-23, the conference office announced Tuesday, Oct. 25.
Edmonds was named the Defender of the Week for the second time this season while Kristensen garnered Offensive Athlete of the Week honors for the second time in 2022, as well.
A redshirt junior from Overland Park, Kan., Edmonds helped the fourth-ranked Jennies clinch their 13th MIAA Regular Season Championship in program history with a pair of wins at Missouri Western and Missouri Southern Friday, Oct. 21, and Sunday, Oct. 23.
In UCM's 4-1 victory at Missouri Western Friday, Edmonds dished out what proved to be the game-winning assist on a pass from beyond midfield to Kristensen for the game-winning goal in the 33rd minute. For the week, she played in the full 90 minutes in both Central Missouri wins.

Her hat-trick occurred in the 4-1 triumph at Missouri Western, as she netted goals in the 16th, 32nd and 82nd minutes. She added both goals in the Jennies' 2-0 shutout win at Missouri Southern Sunday, scoring in the 73rd and 77th minutes.
Central Missouri is the top seed in the MIAA Women's Soccer Championship and is scheduled to host eighth-seeded Missouri Western in a quarterfinal match at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
