LIBERTY, Mo. – University of Central Missouri Mules wrestling went 3-0 in the 2022 Jewell Duals hosted by William Jewell College Sunday, Jan. 9, inside the Mabee Center.
The Mules compiled wins over Maryville University (26-22), Drury (22-20) and host William Jewell (42-6) to improve to 3-1 in dual competition on the season.
Sophomore 157-pounder
John Ridle continued his stellar 2021-22 season, going a perfect 3-0 in all three duals with a pair of tech fall wins against Maryville's Luke Ebers (16-0) and Drury's Trevor Christian (15-0) and a victory via pin (1:48) over ÂWilliam Jewell's Connor Johnston. Ridle improved to 16-3 on the season with his three victories Sunday.
Redshirt senior 174-pounder
Austin Morgan also went a flawless 3-0 Saturday, winning via forfeit in his first match against Maryville prior to defeating Drury's Tucker Caswell via a 5-4 decision and pinning William Jewell's Jayce Taylor (4:04) to improve to 8-8 in 2021-22.
