• No. 18 University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer is scheduled to host a pair of MIAA home matches this weekend at the South Recreation Complex, facing Northeastern State Friday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m. before entertaining Rogers State Sunday, Oct. 3, at 1 p.m.
• The Jennies are coming off a 1-0-1 week, winning at Missouri Western Sept. 24, 3-2, before playing to a 2-2 draw at Northwest Missouri Sept. 26.
Ashleigh Martin, Sydney Leslie and Isa Yanes netted the Central Missouri goals in the win at Missouri Western, with Lindsey Edmonds and Jordan Austin each tallying assists.
McKenzie Robinson and Kassie Newsom scored goals in the tie at Northwest Missouri.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITON
Northeastern State
• Northeastern State has an overall record of 3-3-2 entering the weekend.
• The River hawks dropped a 1-0 decision to Central Oklahoma on Sept. 26 in their last match.
• Callie Rucker has contributed three goals, nine points, and 29 shots, leading Northeastern State after eight matches, while Payton Lieb has two goals, five points, and 30 shots.
• Goalkeeper Ainsley Cunningham has played in six matches, tallying 26 saves, nine goals allowed, and a 1.66 goals-against average.
• Chase Wooten is in his eleventh season as Northeastern State head coach.
 
Rogers State
• Rogers State has an overall record of 6-1-1 entering the weekend.
• The Hillcats won a 2-1 home match against Newman on Sept. 26 in their last action.
• Vanessa Gonzalez has contributed four goals, nine points, one assist, and 21 shots to lead Rogers State after seven matches while, Desiree Morgas has two goals, five shots, one assist, and 17 shots.
• Goalkeeper Savannah Harvey has played in seven matches, posting 29 saves, six goals allowed, and a 0.91 goals-against average.
• Josh Smith is in his second season as Rogers State's head coach.
 
JENNIES IN THE MIAA STATISTICS
• Through eight matches, Kassie Newsom is tied for the MIAA lead in assists with four, while Sydney Leslie is fifth in the conference in goals scored with five. Caroline Cole and Julia Kristensen are ninth in the MIAA in game-winning goals with two.
 
WEEKLY HONORS
Lindsey Johnson was voted the MIAA Goalkeeper of the Week for her performance on the pitch during the week of Sept. 13-19. It's Johnson's second Goalkeeper of the Week honor of the 2021 season and the third of her career.
• Johnson recorded 10 saves while allowing just two goals in the Jennies two victories over Northwest Missouri and at Missouri Southern Sept. 17 and 19. The junior keeper went the full 90 minutes between the posts in UCM's 3-0 shutout against the Bearcats, making six saves while giving up no goals to collect her third clean sheet of 2021. In the 3-2 win at Missouri Southern Johnson added four saves in 90 minutes.
 
THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
• Dating back to the 2016 season, the Jennies are 37-1-1 at Jennies Field and have allowed just 19 goals in that span.
• The Jennies have outscored opponents 118-13 in goals at home since 2016.
• All-time at Jennies Field, UCM is 193-33-9. Under head coach Lewis Theobald, the Jennies are 136-13-8 at home and have posted undefeated home records five times.
 
ROAD WARRIORS
• In 2021, the Jennies are 4-0-1 on the road with wins against Oklahoma Baptist, SWOSU, MSSU, MWSU, and a tie against NWMSU.
• The Jennies have outscored their opponents away from the South Recreation Complex this season, 12-6.
• Under Theobald, UCM is 137-13-9 in road games in his 15th seasons of play.
 
BRINGING HOME THE HARDWARE
• In 2019, the Jennies won their 11th MIAA regular season championship in the last 13 seasons.
• The Jennies had nine All-MIAA honorees in 2019 including returning goalkeeper Lindsey Johnson, who was the conference Goalkeeper of the year, and returners Kassie Newsom, Nayeli Gallo, Macy Ruffalo, and Cassie Forcellini.
• Johnson was also a second team D2CCA-All Central Region Team selection.
 
CAREER MILESTONE WATCH
Lindsey Johnson enters the week ranked second in career saves with 197. She is also in the top-10 in saves per game (4.48), goals-against average (1.12), and save percentage (.798).
