WARRENSBURG, Mo. (April 9, 2021) - Mules Football has been back at practice and later this month will welcome two teams for a situational practice and scrimmage. Central Missouri and head coach
Jim Svoboda announced they plan to host Augustana and Northern State from the Northern Sun Conference.
The two scrimmages will be held over the next two Saturdays. The Mules will host Augustana Saturday, April 17 and Northern State Saturday, April 24. Both scrimmages will start at 12 p.m.
"We feel very fortunate to have two quality programs in Augustana and Northern State agree to come to Warrensburg and allow our players, after 16 months, to face some outside competition," said Svoboda. "This situational practice and scrimmage will have the multi faceted objective of providing our players with some long awaited outside competition and will also go a long way in helping us evaluate and develop our younger players. While it will not be a game as such, I feel Mule Nation will still be able to get a good preview of the 2021 edition of Mules football. We encourage as many fans as possible to attend."
The situational practice and scrimmage is open to the public and free of charge. Fans are asked to wear a mask and to remain socially distant in the stands.
