TOPEKA, Kan. (March 7, 2021) - Central Missouri Soccer picked up its second victory of the spring season with a 2-1 win over Washburn.
The Ichabods scored the first goal of the match early in the first half to take a 1-0 advantage over UCM. Washburn's goal in the eighth minute would be the only score of the first half to send the Jennies into the break down by one.
In the first 10 minutes of the second half, freshman
Sydney Leslie put UCM on the board scoring off a pass from sophomore
Nayeli Gallo. Freshman
Caroline Cole scored the Jennies game-winning goal in the 83rd minute, assisted by Leslie.
Central Missouri out-shot Washburn 9-8. Jennies goalkeeper freshman
Sydney Daris recorded four saves.
