Mules and Jennies Track and Field Opens Indoor Season at Crimson & Gold Invite

PITTSBURG, Kan. – University of Central Missouri Mules and Jennies track and field opened their 2021-22 indoor season Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Crimson & Gold Invitational at the Robert W. Plaster Center on the Pittsburg State University campus.

The Mules posted five top-10 performances while the Jennies compiled a pair of top-10 showings.

Regan Ulrich won the men's pole vault with a provisional mark of 5.20 meters, while Vincent Hobbie was fourth with a provisional mark of 5.10 meters.

Austin Staib placed ninth in the long jump, jumping 6.73 meters, rounding out the top-10 performers in the field events for Central Missouri.

On the track, Antonio Lay ran for top-10 finishes in both the 200-meter dash and 60-meter dash. Lay placed fourth in the 200m with a provisional time of 21.56 and was ninth in the 60m with a provisional time of 6.83.

For the Jennies, Camryn Holloman finished runner-up in the long jump with a personal-best and provisional mark of 5.80 meters while Cassie Jennings finished sixth in the pole vault, clearing a provisional height of 3.81 meters.

UCM track and Field is scheduled to return to action Friday, Dec. 11, and Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Happy Holidays Invitational hosted by Doane University in Crete, Neb.
