AUSTIN, Texas – University of Central Missouri redshirt senior middle blocker
Audrey Fisher was voted to the 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division II Volleyball Second Team, which is selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced Friday, Dec. 17.
It's Fisher's second straight Academic All-America® honor, as she was also a second team honoree last season. She's the 12th Academic All-American® in Jennies volleyball history, including the fifth under head coach
Flip Piontek.
A native of Lenexa, Kan., Fisher led the 2021 MIAA regular season and tournament champion Jennies with a .370 attack percentage, compiling 381 kills on 870 total attempts with 59 errors in 120 sets played. She added 23 block solos and 99 block assists for 122 total block, a team-high 31 service aces, and 60 digs.
Fisher was tabbed an AVCA and D2CCA First Team All-American and was named the MIAA Player of the Year and D2CCA Central Region Player of the Year.
In addition to her player of the year and All-American honors, Fisher was an AVCA All-Region recipient, and was selected First Team All-MIAA and First Team D2CCA All-Central Region and was voted to both the MIAA and NCAA-II Central Regional All-Tournament Teams.
A five-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll selection and MIAA Scholar Athlete with a 3.95 GPA, Fisher graduated this December with her bachelor's degree in drafting and design technology.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Division II Academic All-America® teams program.
