WARRENSBURG, Mo. – No. 11 University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer fell to No. 17 Emporia State, 1-0, in the MIAA tournament championship match Sunday, Nov. 14, at the South Recreation Complex.
The Jennies (17-3-1) will find out their NCAA Central Region tournament opening round opponent and location Monday, Nov. 15, at 5 p.m. The selection show will air live on NCAA.com.
After both teams played to a scoreless draw in the first-half, Emporia State (18-2-1) broke through in the 57th-minute of the second half when Aislinn Hughes flicked a corner kick from Hannah Woolery into the back of the net, putting the Hornets up, 1-0.
That was all Emporia State needed, as the Jennies couldn't find an equalizer the final 33 minutes of regulation.

Molly Ricker each posted one shot on goal, pacing UCM, while goalkeeper
Sydney Daris made a career-best nine saves between the posts in her 90 minutes in-goal.
The Hornets outshot Central Missouri, 27-11, including a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal, and bested the Jennies in corner kicks, 9-6.
Emporia State also had 18 fouls compared to nine for UCM in the match.
