• No. 18 University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer is scheduled to travel to Wichita, Kan., to take on Newman Friday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m., before facing Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla., Sunday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m.
• The Jennies are coming off a pair of 4-0, shutout home victories over Northeastern State Oct. 1 and Rogers State Oct. 3.
• In the win vs. Northeastern State,
Kassie Newsom netted two of UCM's four goals and dished out an assist, while
Isa Yanes and
Sydney Leslie each scored a goal, and
Jordan Austin and
Caroline Cole posted assists, leading Central Missouri in the contest.
• In the victory over Rogers State,
Ashleigh Martin and
Katelyn Poertner scored the first half goals, while
Caroline Cole and

Last Meeting: The Jennies and the Bronchos met twice during the 2019 season, with UCM defeating UCO in Warrensburg during the regular season, 2-1, before falling the Central Oklahoma, 1-0, in the MIAA tournament semifinals, which were played in Warrensburg.

WEEKLY HONORS

Lindsey Johnson was voted the MIAA Goalkeeper of the week for the third consecutive week for her performance during the week of Sept. 27- Oct. 3.
• Johnson recorded six saves, while giving up no goals in UCM victories over Northeastern State and Rogers State on Oct. 1 and Oct. 3. The Junior goalkeeper went 75 minutes both games for UCM to shutout the River hawks and the Hill cats 4-0. Johnson had five saves against Northeastern, and one save against Rogers State.

Kassie Newsom earned her first career MIAA offensive athlete of the week honor with her performance during the week of Sept. 27- Oct. 3.
• Newsom recorded three goals, two assists, eight points, and four shots on goal to lead UCM to a pair of 4-0 shutouts over Northeastern and Rogers State on Oct. 1 and Oct. 3. Newsom netted two goals, one assist, and five points against Northeastern State, and one goal, one assist, and three points against Rogers State.
