WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Audrey Fisher tallied 16 kills on .441 hitting and
Kersti Nix added 13 kills on .444 hitting leading the No. 4-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep over the Central Oklahoma Bronchos Thursday, Oct. 14, at the UCM Multipurpose Building. The set scores were 25-20, 25-16 and 25-22 as UCM collected its 10th sweep of the season.
The Jennies (15-2, 8-1 MIAA) are scheduled to travel to Wichita, Kan., for a 3 p.m. MIAA match at Newman Saturday, Oct. 16.
Fisher, a redshirt senior from Lenexa, Kan., tallied her match-high 16 kills on 34 attempts with just one error for her .441 attacking percentage while also making a match-best four blocks with two block solos and two block assists, while Nix, a redshirt sophomore from Overland Park, Kan., posted her 13 kills on 27 swings – also with just one miscue – for her team-high .444 attacking percentage and added three blocks with a pair of block assists and a block solo.
Ally Offerdahl compiled her team-best 11th double-double of the season with a match-high 35 assists, and 12 digs, and
Rylie Barnum tallied a team-best 18 digs.
The Jennies outhit the Bronchos (14-5, 7-4 MIAA), .331 to .183, and bested Central Oklahoma in kills (54-39), assists (50-33), service aces (3-1), digs (64-61) and blocks (7-4).
Courtney Lane had 12 kills on 33 attempts with three errors for a .273 attacking percentage to pace the Bronchos.
