EDMOND, Okla. (Jan. 14, 2021) -
Koray Gilbert led all scorers with a career-high 26 points in the Mules 89-70 loss to Central Oklahoma on the road.
How it Happened:
• Central Oklahoma came out hot after their 25-day game break as the Bronchos shot over 50% in both halves to finish with a season-high 89 points.
• The Bronchos finished the first 20 minutes 13-24 for 54.2%, including a 5-9 performance behind the arc for 55.6%.
• The Mules hit just 10-29 from the field and 4-16 from the three-point range to finish with 27 points at the half.
• Central Oklahoma stayed hot through the break. After a made jump shot by
Garrett Luinstra began the second-half offense, the Bronchos followed with an 8-0 run
• Central Missouri improved their shooting by 10% in the second half to end the game 25-61 for 41%.
• The Mules struggles at the three-point range, hitting just 6-30. Free-throws also weren't falling in the Mules favor as UCM finished 14-24 for a season-low 58.3% at the line.
• The Bronchos shooting only improved in the second half as they shot 55.6% from the field and 56.3% from the three to finish the game 28-51 (54.9%), a season.
• Central Oklahoma also recorded a season-high three-point percentage of 56% and a season-best free-throw percentage of 82.6%.
• The Mules also came up short on the boards as UCM finished with 25 rebounds to UCO's 37.
Leading the Mules:
• Gilbert led the UCM offense with a career-high performance. The senior guard hit a career-best 10 field goals on 15 attempts and tied his career-high four three's. Gilbert added a pair of free-throws to finish with the game-high 26 points.
• Also scoring in double-figures was
Ja'Cor Nelson. Nelson shot 50% from the floor and went 8-12 at the line to finish with 16. Nelson also led the Mules with three assists and three steals.

Ante Sustic finished with 10 points and led the UCM defense with four boards.
Leading the Bronchos:
• Callen Haydon was also perfect against the Mules, shooting 4-6 with a 3-3 performance behind the arc and finished 9-9 from the foul line to lead the UCO offense with 20.
• Cam Givens was 7-10 with two threes for 18 points. Givens also led the Bronchos defense with six rebounds.
• Jaden Wells finished with 14 points and five boards.
• Shemar Smith was 4-4 with two three's to add 11.
News & Notes:
• The all-time series between the Mules and the Bronchos is now tied 10-10.
• Central Missouri gave up a season-low eight turnovers.
