KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 21, 2020) - The MIAA recently announced the schedules for fall 2021 in the sports of football, volleyball and soccer. Schedules were approved by the Association's Athletics Administrations Committee.
All three sport schedules are the original 2020 schedules, approved prior to the NCAA decision to reduce the number of contests.
Mules Football will be at home for six of their 11 contests in 2021. The season is set to start at home against Pittsburg State. The Mules will also be home against Northwest Missouri, Nebraska-Kearney, Emporia State, Fort Hays State and the final game of the regular season against Central Oklahoma. Game times will be announced at a later date.
The Jennies Volleyball conference schedule sees 20 contests, playing each conference school 10 times in a double round robin, home and road format. The conference portion of the Jennies schedule will begin Sept. 14 against Missouri Western before finishing up on the road at Central Oklahoma Nov. 13 leading into the MIAA Tournament. Game times and non-conference opponents are to be determined.
Jennies Soccer will play 14 matches against MIAA opponents. All 14 will count as in-region games with the final 11 comprising the conference schedule. Of the 14 games, seven will be at home and six of the 11 conference games will be played at Jennies Field. UCM's first three games against Northwest Missouri, at Missouri Southern and at Missouri Western will not count toward conference standings. The official MIAA opener will be Sept. 26 at Northwest Missouri. The season will close on Halloween against Missouri Western before the MIAA Tournament begins. Game times and non-conference opponents are to be determined.
