ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (Dec. 5, 2020) - Central Missouri was unable to defend Missouri Western's season-high shooting performance in a 100-81 loss inside the MWSU Fieldhosue. Cameron Hunter scored the game-high 23 points to lead the Mules for the fourth game this season.
How it Happened:
• Missouri Western attempted a season-high 71 field goals and hit a season-high 15 three's to account for 45 of the Griffin's 100 total points
• Both the Mules and the Griffins saw season-high foul totals in tonight's matchup as UCM finished with 24 while MWSU totaled 28.
• With all the personal fouls came many trips to the free-throw line. Fifty-nine of the 181 points scored were at the three-throw line to account for 33% of the game's scoring.Â
• The Griffins hit 30-71 from the floor for 42.3%, 15-35 for 42.9% from the three-point range, and 25-34 at the three-throw line for 75.6%.
• Central Missouri shot 22-53 from the field for 41.5%, made just 3-13 from the three for 23.1% and finished 34-45 at the foul line for 75.6%.
• Western led the Mules for the entire match up with their largest lead of the game coming at 22-point advantage (88-66) with 6:47 left to play.Â
• The Mules recorded a season-high 43 rebounds to win the battle at the boards as MWSU finished with 40.Â
Leading the Mules:
• Hunter made a season-high 17 free-throws in his game-high scoring performance. Cameron finished 3-7 from the floor and 17-20 from the line to lead UCM with 23.Â
• Hunter also led the Mules defense with season-high seven rebounds.
• Garrett Luinstra hit 4-12 from the field and 4-6 at the foul line for a season-high 12 points.Â
• Jalen Blaize went 3-8 from the floor and a perfect 6-6 at the line to also finish with 12.Â
• Tristen Hull was 3-6 in the paint and 3-5 at the free-throw line for a season-high nine points and six rebounds.
• Dillion Blain recorded a season-high seven points.Â
• Ante Sustic finished with seven points and six boards.
Leading the Griffins:
• Reese Glover hit the game-high five three's to lead MWSU with 20 points. Glover went 6-14 from the field, 5-12 from the three, and 3-3 from the line.Â
• Q Mays, Will Eames, and Jaron Thames finished with 16 points each.Â
• Mays led the Griffins with a game-high five assists.
• Eames led the MWSU defense with seven rebounds.Â

• Central Missouri recorded over 40 boards and out-rebounded their opponent for the first time this season.Â
• Blain, Hull, Luinstra, and Easton Darling each recorded season-high scoring performances.Â
• The Mules 41.5% field goal shooting percentage against MWSU is a season-low.Â
• Central Missouri continues to lead the all-time series against the Griffins 41-31.Â
