Mueller Goal Delivers Jennies Overtime Victory

MANKATO, Minn. (Sept. 15, 2019) - No. 4 Central Missouri's Kelsey Mueller scored her career-first game-winning goal in overtime to defeat No. 18 Bemidji State, 1-0. 

How it Happened: 
• The Jennies and the Beavers battled for 97 minutes and 41 seconds before senior Mueller found the back of Bemidji State's net with the help form freshman Nayeli Gallo. The goal is Mueller's first of the season and the fourth of her career. 
• The 18th-ranked Beavers out shot UCM 9-7, however none of Bemidji State's shots fell on goal. 

Jessies State Leaders:
• Mueller's goal in overtime lead the Jennies in points, followed by Gallo with the credited for the assist. 
• Seven different Jennies accounted for UCM's seven shots, while Kassie Newsom, Makayla TothMakayla Martin and Mueller were the only Jennies to record a shot on goal. 

For the Beavers: 
• Megan Majewski led Bemidji State with four shots. 
• Melanie Peltier finished with two shots, while Alanna Mattson, Erin Becker and Kennedy Michel were each able to get one shot off. 
• Beaver keeper Emma Riedi recorded the game-high of three saves. 

News and Notes: 
• The Jennies grow their lead in the all-time series against Bemidji State 2-0.
• Of the Jennies first four opponents, three were ranked in the Central Region top-10 last year. Bemidji State was the third in the first two weeks.
 
Up Next:
• The No. 4 Jennies will travel to Maryville, Mo. on Friday, Sept. 20 to take on Northwest Illinois. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. CT on Northwest's Bearcat Pitch Field.
