Baseball Drops Rubber Game to Bronchos

WARRENSBURG, Mo. (March 10, 2019) - Central Missouri Mules Baseball couldn't overcome a four-run Broncho first inning in their 8-3 loss to Central Oklahoma Saturday afternoon. The loss puts UCM at 13-7 this season and 6-3 in the MIAA.

Play-by-Play
• Central Oklahoma started quickly scoring four in the first inning. A two-run triple was the biggest hit of the inning. They also scored a run on a two-out error.
• UCM had some chances, leaving at least one runner on base in each of the second through fourth innings.
• Those missed opportunities came back to bite the Mules as the Bronchos put up another four run inning in the fifth. Four straight walks to open the inning scored one, followed by back-to-back RBI singles and a run-scoring ground out.
• The Mules left two on base in the sixth and the bags full in the seventh. They finally got on the board with a two-out three-run home run from Erik Webb in the ninth, but it was too little, too late as the Bronchos took the rubber game 8-3.
