WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Feb. 6, 2019) - For a night honoring the 2017-18 National Championship, Jennies Basketball played like champions. They led wire-wire in their 80-55 win over Washburn to pick up their sixth straight win and move to 16-4 this season, 9-3 in the MIAA.

How it Happened
• Central Missouri shot 47% for the game hitting on 10 three-pointers while the Ichabods couldn't keep up with the Jennies, hitting just 39% from the field and were 3-17 from three.
• UCM also won the rebounding advantage 41-37 and scored 15 second-chance points.
• Neither team turned the ball over much, just 11 times for the Jennies and 12 for the Ichabods, but UCM was able to turn those 12 Washburn turnovers in 16 points.
• Central Missouri committed just six fouls all game, and was able to stifle the Ichabods with their defense.
• The Jens stormed out of the gates and two-and-a-half minutes in built a 9-0 lead after Sydney Crockett's first of six three-pointers.
• That lead swelled two 17 following a Peyton Taylor jumped at the 2:43 mark of the first quarter and the Jennies were rolling up 21-4.
• The Ichabods came back and ended the quarter on a 7-2 run, bringing that lead down to 12, 21-11 after 10 minutes.
• UCM's defense only suck in deeper in the second quarter allowing just eight points and pushing the lead up over 20 in the final two minutes, taking a 42-19 lead into the half.
• Three's from Crockett and Redmond to start the third gave UCM a 52-23 lead. Washburn ended the quarter on a 13-4 run in the final 6:36 of the third, but it was too little too late, as they were still down 20 with one quarter of play left.
• The Jennies proceeded to go 9-16 from the floor in the fourth quarter with two three-pointers to put the game away, 80-55.

It Was Over When...
• Jennies fans had plenty of time to admire their new jewelry as this was seemingly over fairly quick. Crockett and Peyton Taylor nailed a pair of threes on back-to-back possessions giving UCM a 23-point lead late in the second quarter which they carried into the half.

Jennies Stat Leaders
• Sydney Crockett scored a game-high with 24 points. She was 8-10 from the field and 6-8 from three. She also had six rebounds, four offensive.
• Peyton Taylor came off the bench to add 17 points and five boards.
• Paige Redmond facilitated the offense with 11 points, six assists and four rebounds.
• Megan Skaggs overcame two early fouls to scored 13 points going 6-10 with six rebounds and three blocked shots.
• Morgan Fleming led UCM with seven rebounds while also scoring nine points.

For the Ichabods
• Shelbe Piggie scored a team-best 11 points off the bench.
• Nicole Murugarren was 4-7 from the floor for eight points.
• Hunter Bentley scored eight with six rebounds.
• Relatively quiet night for the Ichabod's Reagan Phelan, but here five points were enough to give her 1,000 for her career.

News and Notes
• Central Missouri's six straight wins is their longest stretch this season.
• UCM avenged an early season 62-57 loss to the Ichabods. In that game UCM was just 2-17 from three, while tonight they went 10-30.
• In the Jennies two games against Washburn, they have held the Ichabods to just 6-33 on three-point attempts.
• Both Sydney Crockett and Peyton Taylor set new-career high's with their scoring output tonight. In Crockett's UCM career she had just six three-pointers made in six games against Washburn. She knocked in another six tonight and moved into eighth place all-time with 131 career threes.
• Paige Redmond moved into a tie for seventh place all-time in scoring at UCM with 1,545 points.
• Morgan Fleming reached 200 career rebounds.
• The Jennies move to 8-1 this season when holding an opponent to fewer than 10 points in a period as Washburn scored just eight in the second.
• The 80 points the Jennies scored were the most Washburn has allowed this season in regulation.
