• UCM soon went cold and an 8-0 Lion run gave them a six-point lead, 19-13.
• Jakob Lowrance ended the run with a reverse layup just past the midway point, but another 7-0 Lion stretch put them up 11, 25-16, their largest of the half.
• Another three from Winger and a Daniel Farris layup brought UCM to within six, 31-25 with just over five minutes left to play.
• Down eight in the final seconds, Farris found Lowrance in the lane who finished the layup and the Mules trailed by six, 38-32 heading into the break.
• The Lions came out in the second half hitting three straight three-pointers and an 8-0 gave them a 49-35 run.
• The Mules scored six straight, four from Jafar Kinsey, and with 15:53 left it was a seven-point game, 48-41.
• Another three from Lindenwood and they were up nine, 62-51, just after the midway point in the half.
• UCM didn't quit though and a 9-0 run capped by a Matt Wilkinson three brought UCM within one, 66-65, with under five minutes to play.
• Down five, Michael Winger drained his sixth three of the game and it was 70-68, Lion lead with 2:49 left.
• James Byrd had a chance to tie, but went 1-2 at the line and with 1:48 left it was again a one-point game, 70-69.
