WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Feb. 26, 2019) - Central Missouri Mules Baseball won their third straight game, defeating Truman State 12-5 Tuesday afternoon in Warrensburg.
Play-by-Play
• Central Missouri scored 12 runs on just eight hits, but three were for extra bases and UCM walked nine times and five Mules were hit by pitches.
• UCM pitchers struck out 15 Bulldogs.
• Central Missouri scored three in the first inning without the benefit of a hit.
Mason Janvrin walked and stole second before
John Raybourn was hit by a pitch. A double steal put two runners in scoring position when a wild pitch scored Janvrin. A fielding error and a ground out allowed the final two runs of the inning to score.
• An inning later, the Mules made it 6-0 getting an RBI ground out from Raybourn and a two-run RBI single from
Harrison Schnurbusch.

Collin Jones was cruising and didn't allow a hit until the fourth when an Evan Kayser RBI single made it a 6-1 game.

Harrison Schnurbusch picked up his third RBI with a solo blast to left field putting UCM up 7-1.
• A half inning later, Adam Stolley returned the favor with a two-run homer to right, pulling the Bulldogs within four, 7-3.
• The Mules scored two more in the sixth when Janvrin drove home Ditto with a long double to center. He scored the Mules ninth run on a wild pitch.
• UCM scored three more in the seventh when
Gaven Strobel poked a single to left and
Mason Janvrin kept it just fair down the right field line for a two-run triple.
• Truman State added runs in the seventh and eighth, but it wasn't enough as the Mules won their third straight.

Harrison Schnurbusch reached base five times with two hits and three walks including a home run and three RBI.
•
Mason Janvrin went 3-4 with a double, triple and three runs scored. He also stole two bases.
•
Donovan Ditto went 2-2 at the plate, scoring three runs.
•
Collin Jones got the start and tossed the first five innings giving up three runs (one earned) on two hits with eight strikeouts.

Bryce Kearns and
Evan Rathburn all pitched scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
For the Bulldogs
• Adam Stolley was 2-4 from the nine hole with a home run and three RBI.
• Evan Kayser finished 2-4 with an RBI.
• Holden Missey scored three runs.
• Mason Hatch got the start throwign the first two innings givnig up six runs (five earned) on two hits with three walks.
• Tyler Blackington came out of the pen to throw 3.2 innings, giving up three runs on four hits with two strikeouts.

• The win is the Mules 85th straight over Truman State dating back to 1989.

• Mules pitchers have struck out 10 or more batters in four straight games. Their 15 today was their second-highest total this season.
• UCM hasn't allowed a first-inning hit in their last six games.
