KEARNEY, Neb. (Jan. 29, 2019) - Central Missouri Mules Wrestling fell in Tuesday night in their first of back-to-back duals. The Mules never were able to get out of the gates in their 50-0 loss to No. 2 Nebraska-Kearney. UCM is now 0-4 in dual matches and 0-3 in the MIAA.
The match started with
Justin Mitchell at 125 pounds. He lost in a technical fall 18-2 at the end of the first round to Josh Portillo. The Mules then suffered a loss by fall in three of the next four matches.
Dakota Thevel made it into the second round at 141 pounds before falling to Jonathan Killingsworth by technical fall, 16-0.Â
The Mules competed better towards the end of the match.
Dominique Hampton and
Chase Miller each lost by decision, 6-1 and 5-1 at 184 pounds and 285 pounds.
Benjamin Gadbois lost in a major decision, 13-2 to Zach Stodden at 174 pounds.
Central Missouri will have a quick turnaround taking on Fort Hays State Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m.Â
