WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Jan. 26, 2019) - Forty minutes at the Multi wasn't enough for the Mules and Bearcats, they needed overtime to settle the score. In the end, the Bearcats hot shooting in the final five minutes helped stave off a Mules rally a produce an 83-79 win for the visitors. UCM now drops to 10-8 this season, 3-6 in the MIAA.

• There seven total lead changes and the score was tied nine times. No team led by more than nine points and the largest lead in the second-half was seven.
• Central Missouri built their lead early as their first four made FG all came from three. Daniel Farris started it off and was followed in order by Michael Winger, Jafar Kinsey and Matt Wilkinson. Six minutes in the game UCM was doubling up the Bearcats, 12-6.
• After SBU cut the lead down to three, the Mules went on a 6-0 run and a Brandon Emmert layup gave the Mules their largest lead, 20-11.
• Late in the first half the Mules got some serious production from an unlikely source. DJ Anderson scored nine points in the final 2:19 for the Mules going 3-3 from deep.
• The Mules needed Anderson's points as the Bearcats cut the lead down to one on four different occasions in the final 4:17. Leading by one, Anderson beat the buzzer with a long three to send the Mules into the half up four, 33-29.
• It took less than a minute into the second half for the Bearcats to take over the lead from the Mules. They started the second half on a 7-0 run and held the lead until late in the game.
• A 6-0 stretch in the middle of the second gave the Bearcats their largest lead, 53-46, with 11:20 left to play.
• The Mules mounted their comeback using a 9-2 streak in 4:05, reclaiming the lead, 63-62 on a Daniel Farris three-point play.
• SBU broke a 65-all tie with a pair of free throws at the 2:48 mark before the teams suddenly went cold. The two teams went 0-4 with two turnovers in a 2:11 span.

Daniel Farris went 2-2 at the free throw line and Jafar Kinsey splashed a triple and with 2:37 left, we were right where we started.
• SBU though had an answer for every big shot the Mules made. Following Kinsey's three, the Bearcats hit a three of their own to retake the lead.
• In the final 36 seconds the Bearcats were able to keep the Mules just far enough away by going 5-8 at the line to seal the win.
