LAWRENCE, Kan. (Sept. 29, 2018)-- Mules and Jennies Cross Country wrapped up at the Rim Rock Farm Classic earlier today in Lawrence, Kansas. The Mules finished 9th out of 17 teams, and the Jennies finished 11th out of 16 teams.
Amy Marx was the Jens top finisher in the 6K race, placing 15th of of 149 individuals with a time of 22:24.7.
Mariah Elmore was the next finisher for the Jennies coming in 27th place, with a time of 22:24.7. Freshman
Sami Skibell came in at 78th place with a time of 24:54.1,
Maria Wendell finished 94th running a time of 25:26.6. Freshman
Hannah Rodina finished shortly after placing 98th with a time of 25:38.8. The Jennies finished with 270 and finished 11th as a team.
Kansas was the top team at the meet with a total of 26 points. Kansas also had the top two individual finisher in Sharon Lokedi who ran a time of 19:49.4.
For the Mules,
Nick Victor was the top finisher in the 8k race. Victor placed 20th out of 189 runners and running a time of 25:23.4 .
Jared Mentz was the next Mule to cross the line at 26:30.9 coming in 63rd place. Issac Calvert finished in 66th place with a time of 26:34.5.
Alex Kirk finished in 26:35.5, placing 68th. The Mules finished with 268 points and finished 9th as a team.
Kansas was also the top finisher as a team on the men's side with 34 points. Joe Moore, who ran unattached was the top individual finisher with a time of 24:07.7 on 8K the course.
Central Missouri's next meet is set for Saturday, Oct. 6 in Emporia, Kan. at Emporia State and the gun will go off at 9:00 A.M.
