DENVER, Colo. (August 31, 2018) - No. 14 Central Missouri Jennies Volleyball finished their night with a thrilling 3-2 (23-25, 25-15, 25-13, 18-25, 15-7) win over No. Lewis. The win puts the Jennies at 5-1 on the season.

How It Happened
• Central Missouri hit .165 for the match and held the Flyers to a .113 attack percentage for the match.
• The Jennies scored 10 points on service aces and eight more on blocks.
• UCM dug out 106 Lewis attacks on the defensive end.
• Lewis got out to an early lead in the first set, 6-2. Central Missouri fought back to a 15-all tie and took their first lead, 18-17, after a service ace from
Abby Skrastins. The teams went back-and-forth with UCM holding a one-point lead, 22-21. The Flyers though scored four of the next five points and took a 1-0 match lead with a 25-23 set one win.
• The second set was all Jennies. They raced out to a 4-0 lead and never looked back. An ace from
Rylee Neigenfind made it 10-2 and the route was on. The Jens evened up the match with a 25-15 set win. UCM landed 15 kills in the set and hit .333.
• Just like set two, the third was all UCM. The Jens once again scored the first four points and cruised to a 25-13 win to take a 2-1 lead in the set. Lewis hit -.122 in the frame with six kills and 12 errors.
Hannah VanBuskirk ended it with a kill.Â
• UCM took a quick 2-0 lead in set four but it didn't last long. Lewis grabbed the lead at 6-4 before the Jens were able to tie at eight-all. A 6-1 Flyer run though put Lewis on top for good and they went on to a 25-18 set four win, evening the match.Â
• Central Missouri regained all the momentum at the start of set 5. They scored the first three points with two kills from
Audrey Fisher and another from
Rylee Neigenfind. From there, UCM went on to a 6-1 lead before ultimately taking the set and the match with a 15-7 win. The Jennies connected for 10 kills in the fifth set, hitting .267 and also landed two service aces.
Jennies Stat Leaders

Abby Skrastins dug out 31 Lewis attack attempts. She also had two service aces.
•
Ally Offerdahl picked up seven kills, 44 assists, 29 digs and three service aces.
•
Audrey Fisher led UCM with 14 kills.
•
Kylie Hohlen and
Rylee Neigenfind each had 13 kills. Hohlen also had 19 digs.
•
Carly Offerdahl also had 16 digs.
•
Hannah Engelken had five blocks including two solo.Â
For the Flyers
• Alexandra Preuss and Elizabeth Hyland each had 14 kills and 10+ digs.
• Abby Becker handed out 43 assists to go along with 12 digs.
• Tori Foster added 10 kills and eight blocks.
• Ronni Katarzynski had a team-best 24 digs.

Ally Offerdahl went over 1500 career assists and 25 service aces.
•
Abby Skrastins 31 digs are a new career-best. It is her first time eclipsing 30 digs in a match.
• The Jennies landed 10 service aces for the first time since Sept. 3, 2015 when they landed 12 against Western State.
• UCM improves to 6-1 all time against Lewis. Their last two matches have been UCM wins in five sets.
• The Jennies have three wins this season against ranked opponents, something they did only once in 2017.
