EDMOND, Ok. (Nov. 2, 2018) - Central Missouri Soccer dominated the Hornets of Emporia State in the semifinal round of the MIAA Tournament in Edmond earlier today. The Jennies are now preparing for the MIAA Championship game and improve to 16-3-1 overall.
How it Happened
• The Jens made a statement in the first half of play and started off the first half of play with a lot of intensity.
• In the 9th minute of play,
Makayla Martin set the tone going one-on-one down the middle of the field and scored the first goal of the game to give the Jennies a 1-0 lead.
• Leading ESU 1-0,
Jada Scott scores from 12-yards out with the assist from Makayla Toth to increase the lead to 2-0.
• With the Jennies leading 2-0,
Courtney Killian added to the scoring streak in the 21st minute putting the Jens on the board once again to lead 3-0.
• In the 24th minute,
Makayla Toth used her speed to shake the defense to the left and hit the back of the net to add another point to the board 4-0.
• Just when we thought the fuse was out, the Jennies turn up the heat when
Kelsey Mueller found
Jada Scott in the 34th minute for another Jennies goal 5-0. The Jennies went into the half leading Emporia 5-0.
• The Hornets got on the board in the 68th minute when they scored off of a penalty kick to set the score 5-1.

Kelsey Mueller came back to respond in the 69th minute off of a 30-yard free-kick to set the score 6-1.
• The Jens cliched the win in the 70th minute when
Makayla Toth showed off her speed once again to beat the defense and scored the final goal to give UCM the victory 7-1.
