WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Oct. 3, 2018) - Central Missouri Mules Football seeks their second straight win this weekend when they hit the road for Edmond, Okla.

KICKOFF
• Central Missouri is still in search of their first road win in 2018. The Mules will take on Central Oklahoma Saturday, Oct. 6 in Edmond, Okla. with a 2 p.m. kickoff.Â
• The Mules got back in the win column last week in a big way with a 61-7 win against Missouri Southern. The win puts UCM back over .500 for the season at 3-2.Â
• Central Oklahoma was shut out by Fort Hays last week, 15-0. Neither team was able to find the end zone in the game as the Tigers hit five field goals in the win.Â
• In the preseason coaches and media polls, UCM was selected to finish third in both which would match their place from a year ago.Â
• On the road Central Missouri was 4-2 last season. and is 30-18 under Coach Svoboda, but are 0-2 to start this season. All time, the Mules are 241-183-13 and 2018 will be their 87th season at Walton Stadium.Â
• Central Oklahoma was picked to finish in fifth place in the MIAA preseason coaches poll and in sixth place in the media poll.Â
SERIES HISTORY
• Central Missouri suffered their first ever loss to Central Oklahoma last season. The Mules now lead the all-time series 5-1.Â
• UCM has scored at least 30 points in all six matches and 40 points in four of the five games these two teams have played.Â
• This marks the seventh straight season the two teams have played.Â
• The Mules have held the Bronchos under 20 points in three of the six meetings.Â

Jim Svoboda is 5-1 lifetime against the Bronchos while UCO head coach Nick Bobeck is 1-5.
• The closest game came in 2015 when the Mules won 45-42.Â
PREVIOUSLY AGAINST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
• The Mules also traveled to Edmond last season where they were upended by the Bronchos 48-30.
• Central Missouri scored first, but were then outscored 48-10 midway through the fourth quarter.
• UCM got a pair of late touchdowns to reach 30 points.
• The Bronchos had four interceptions on the day and held the Mules to just 65 yards rushing.

Brook Bolles threw for 372 yards and two touchdowns.
MULES IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
• UCM was ranked 18th in the preseason American Football Coaches Association preseason poll and hovered around that spot for the first three weeks. Following the loss at Washburn, the Mules fell out of the national rankings and haven't been ranked the last two weeks.Â
ABOUT THE BRONCHOS
• The Bronchos lost their first two games before winning their next two, including a 31-21 win at home over Northwest Missouri. They then followed that with a 15-0 loss to Fort Hays State last week and stand at 2-3 on the season.
• UCO has used a pair of quarterbacks this season in Keats Calhoon and Chandler Garrett. They have each thrown for more than 500 yards and have combined for 13 touchdowns and four interceptions. Garrett is also the teams leading rusher with 183 yards on 57 attempts.
• Dustin Basks is fourth in the MIAA in receiving with 390 yards on 29 receptions.Â
• UCO is being outscored by opponents this season 26.0-23.4.
THE MULES IN MIAA PLAY
• The Mules finished 8-3 in conference play in 2017 and placed third in the league standings for the third consecutive season.Â
• UCM now stands at 60-26 in conference games under
Jim Svoboda.
• The Mules are 5-1 in MIAA games against Central Oklahoma under Svoboda.Â

• The Mules finished 2017 undefeated at home at 4-0 and are 36-9 at home under
Jim Svoboda, and winners of 11 straight. Â
• They've started out the 2018 season with three straight wins, scoring 50+ points in both.Â

• Central Missouri is 30-18 in road games during the
Jim Svoboda era following their 28-21 loss to Washburn back in September.Â

2018 MIAA STAT LEADERS
• Central Missouri leads the MIAA in total offense with 565.6 yards per game and in scoring offense at 42.2 points per game. UCM is the NCAA Division II leader in total offense as well.Â
• On the defensive side of the ball, they are third in scoring defense at 15.8 points per game and fourth in total defense, allowing 290.6 yards per game.Â
• UCM is third in rushing offense averaging 222.6 yards per game and leads the league in passing at 343.0 yards per game, the only team to average more than 300 passing yards per game.Â

Jeremy Hunt leads the MIAA in passing yards with 1,236 despite playing in fewer games and having fewer attempts than anyone else in the top-six. He is also tied for the league lead in touchdowns.Â
• Two Mules are in the top-three inreceiving yards in the MIAA.
Shae Wyatt is second with 429 yards and
Kyrion Parker is right behind him with 417. Wyatt has three straight 100 yard receiving games while Parker has caught at least one touchdown in all five games this season. His six total touchdowns are second in the MIAA.Â
• Duane Clayton is second in the MIAA is passes defended per game with 1.25.Â
• UCM's 27.8 first downs per game are the most in the MIAA. They are also second in the MIAA in third down conversions after making 32-72 (44.4%) The Mules also have converted eight fourth downs on 11 attempts.Â

• This season, Central Missouri has scored 26 touchdowns. Of those 26, 19 have come in under two minutes.

• In the 120 seasons of UCM Football the Mules have compiled a 563-513-51 (.522) record in 1,127 total games.
• The Mules have won 10 or more games three times in the history of the program and have posted 12 seasons of eight or more wins.

• The Mules appeared in the postseason in each of Svoboda's first two seasons. UCM made the NCAA-II Playoffs in year one under Svoboda and earned a bid to the Kanza Bowl in his second season. It is just the second time in school history that Mules Football made back-to-back postseason appearances.
