WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Oct. 24, 2018)-- Central Missouri Soccer is preparing for their final two regular-season games at JenniesĀ Field. The Jens will take on the Lions of LindenwoodĀ to kick off Homecoming weekend before playing the Griffons of Missouri Western for Senior Day.Ā The Jennies are now 12-3-1 on the season and move to 6-2-1 in the MIAA.

The Week Ahead
⢠The Jennies are coming off of a 1-1 week on the road in Kansas. The Jennies shutout the Ichabods of Washburn 4-0 last Friday in Topeka before falling to Emporia State 1-3 in Emporia, Kan. The Jens are now 12-3-1 on the season and 5-1-1 in the MIAA.Ā
⢠The Jennies entered the 2018 season ranked No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll (formerly National Soccer Coaches Association of America). UCM is coming off its eighth straight MIAA Regular Season championship, fourth MIAA Tournament championship, fourth straight Central Region crown, and a 2017 NCAA D2 National Championship Title.
Series History
Lindenwood: UCM leads 13-2-0
The Jennies and the Lions met twice last season and UCM shut LWU out both times. The first meeting at Jennies Field UCM won 7-0. The second meeting at Lindenwood the Jens won 3-0. This season the two met at LWU and the Jennies came out on top 3-0. The Jennies have not lost to Lindenwood since 1997.
Missouri Western: UCM leads 24-1-0
UCM and MWSU met twice last season the Jennies won both meetings, shutting out the Griffons both times. This season when the two teams met in St. Joseph, Mo. the Griffons came out on top 1-0. That was the first time in series history, which dates back to 2005, that the Griffons defeated the Jennies.

Lindenwood Lions
⢠The Lions are now 6-8-2 on the season. After a tough three-game losing streak. The Lions fell to Emporia State last week 0-1 in Emporia, Kan. Before traveling to Topeka to take on the Ichabods of Washburn. The Ichabods defeated the Lions 0-1 as well.Ā
⢠Lindenwood is led by Morgan Weller and Katie Richter. Morgan Weller, a sophomore forward is leading the Lions in goals with five on the season, leading in assist with four, and has a total of 25 shots on the season. Katie Richter, a junior forward is another strong player with two goals on the season, two assist, and 18 shots thus far.Ā
⢠Head Coach Dave Musso enters his first season with the Lions of Lindenwood.
⢠The Jennies lead the Lions all-time 13-2-0.Ā
Missouri Western Griffons
⢠The Griffons are coming off of a 1-1 week in St. Joseph, Mo. The Griffons started out strong defeating Northeastern State shutting them out 2-0. MWSU then fell to No. 10 Central Oklahoma Bronchos 0-4. The Griffons are now 11-5, and 6-3 in the MIAA.Ā
⢠The Griffons are led by senior forward Cassidy Menke, who leads the team with 11 goals, 4 assist, and 53 shots on the season. Sophomore forward Claire Meyers is a player to watch with four goals, one assist and 25 shots on the season. The Griffons goalkeeper freshman Anna Mayer has 74 saves on the season and has faced 222 shots.Ā
⢠Head Bryan Sailer is in his eighth season as the MWSU head coach.Ā
⢠Central Missouri leads Missouri Western 24-1-0 all-time.

⢠The Jennies 88 goals scored last this season ranks them in the top five in Division II in total goals at second.
⢠The Jennies have averaged 3.52 goals per game this season which ranked third in Division II in scoring offense.
⢠UCM's 45 assists last season was the most in the MIAA and was tied for tenth most in Division II.
⢠With 221 points total on 88 goals scored and 45 assists, the Jennies were third in Division II in total points.
⢠In 24 games last season, UCM outscored opponents 88-4 with a 538-204 shots advantage.
Bringing Home the Hardware
⢠The Jennies posted shutouts in 21 of their wins last season and their four goals allowed was the least allowed in Division II this season.
⢠The Jennies all-around defense in shutouts (21), shutout percentage (.875), goals-against average (.160), and save percentage (.956) leads all of Division II this season.
⢠The Jennies were the only team in Division II that allowed just four goals this season. The Jennies four goals allowed was the least allowed in the MIAA. Their 21 shutouts and 25 wins were the most in a single season in UCM History
One for the Record Books
⢠The 2017 squad is the first team in program history and MIAA history to post 12 consecutive shutouts.Ā
⢠UCM was just the fourth team in NCAA Division II history to post 12 consecutive shutouts
⢠Dating back to the 2015 season, UCM has scored a goal in 58 straight games which are both a UCM and MIAA record.
