WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Oct. 20, 2018) - Central Missouri held the 2018 Mule Run this weekend at Pertle Springs Golf Club. The Mules had a fourth place finish out of seven teams while the Jennies took eighth among 10 teams.
Nick Victor was the Mules top finisher. He took seventh place, running 25:46.31 for the 8K course. The next four scorers all finished within nine places and 20 seconds of each other.
Jared Mentz was 23rd running 26:53.68 and
Alex Philipps was two spots behind, running 26:57.22.
Isaac Calvert and
Ryan Skopec finished back-to-back in 31st and 32nd place. Calvert crossed the line in 27:07.19 and Skopec finished in 27:09.12.
The Jennies had two runners inside the top-20.
Amy Marx was ninth in 22:55.84 and
Mariah Elmore finished 17th in 23:24.76 for 6K.
Sami Skibell was third for UCM taking 45th place in 24:52.17.
Emma Bassford and
Kimberlee Sewester rounded out the top-five. Bassford was 55th in 25:15.61 and Sewester 61st in 25:29.43.
Missouri Southern was the men's team champion scoring 22 points. They also had the individual runner, Nickson Kiptoo who ran 25:27.24. Southwest Baptist was the Jennies team champion with 50 points. Claire McCune of Drury won for the women in 21:49.51.
Next up for UCM is the MIAA Championships. They'll be held in Emporia, Kan. Saturday, Nov. 3.
